Eric is a General Partner responsible for developing the Sofinnova BioEquities strategy. He focuses on public investments in global therapeutics companies and has more than ten years of hedge fund investing experience.
Before joining Sofinnova in 2016, Eric managed market neutral therapeutics and healthcare portfolios at Balyasny Asset Management, a global multi-strategy hedge fund. Prior to this, he was a Partner at Spring Point Capital (formerly Botti Brown Asset Management), a long/short equity hedge fund where he focused on healthcare investments. Before joining the hedge fund industry, he was a Healthcare Investment Banker at Lazard and Credit Suisse where he focused on biotech M&A.
Eric received his M.D. from Northwestern University and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He was a Palmer Scholar and received the Robert D. Eilers Memorial Award for achievement in community service. Eric graduated with a B.A. in Classics cum laude from Yale University.
