Jennifer James

VP of Marketing and Investor Relations

Jennifer manages marketing, communications and investor relations for Sofinnova Ventures.

Most recently, Jennifer was Director of Marketing and Communications for Alta Partners, and brings over 15 years of marketing and communications experience to the firm. Jennifer has focused on the venture capital community, where she has worked with a wide range of firms including Polaris Venture Partners, Prospect Venture Partners, Technology Crossover Ventures, and Sutter Hill Ventures. As a vice president at Blanc and Otus Public Relations, she counseled venture capital and private equity firms, investment banks, management consulting firms and law firms and venture backed philanthropy organizations. Prior to Blanc & Otus, Jennifer was an Associate at A.T. Kearney. Jennifer began her career at Putnam Publishing in New York City.

Jennifer earned a Masters of Business Administration from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bowdoin College.
